Welcome to Kina Cliffs Vineyard
Kina Cliffs is a family owned boutique vineyard that overlooks Tasman Bay and is near the towering cliffs of the Kina Peninsula, 30 minutes drive from Nelson. These sea-washed cliffs expose the ancient Moutere clay gravels that also lie beneath the vineyard and are known locally to produce a full-bodied, robust grape flavour.
This soil, the breezy coastal climate, the high sunshine hours, the hand-tended low yield vines and the expertise of dedicated local winemakers are all engaged to produce a premium wine.
Kina Cliffs is an accredited Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand vineyard and produces Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir wine, with Pinot Gris coming soon.
Our 2011 Sauvignon Blanc has won a pure Gold Medal at the 2011 Air New Zealand Wine awards. Our 2009 Pinot Noir and Reserve Pinot Noirs have won more medals at the NZIWS. Our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc has won a bronze medal at the International Aromatic Wine Competition. Our 2011 Pinot Gris is now bottled and is tasting awesome!
All of our wines can be found in the online shop here.

Concentrated wine with an appealing musk-like character that adds complexity to more conventional gooseberry and green capsicum. Great balance with soft, fruity acidity and a lengthy finish. - Bob Campbell MW, BobsWineReviews.com. |
